Bruce Botanical Food Gardens Needs Your Daily Vote for Ripley,Huron Kinloss and Bruce County!

AVIVA COMMUNITY FUND COMPETITION

Lynne Taylor & Heather Pletsch have spent the last 2 years developing the concept of The Bruce Botanical Food Gardens (www.bbfg.org).

They have entered the project in the AVIVA Community Fund Competition in the large project category for $100,000-$150,000 in funding for the creation of the project in Ripley Ontario.  They are also working to engage an AVIVA broker as well.  If you have connection with any insurance agent who carries AVIVA insurance, your good work in recommending the project for their support would go a long way to assisting them.  In so doing the project will be eligible for an additional amount of funding.

The idea of the competition is for participants to engage people in voting for their  project on a DAILY basis. The projects receiving the highest number of votes will move forward into the second round and likewise into the third round.

The first round of voting starts at noon on Monday October 3 and ends at noon October 19.  It resumes again in round 2 on October 24 and goes until November 9.  Round three is November 14 to November 30 and then the semi finals will occur December 6-16.  Voting must occur throughout.

Please go to http://www.avivacommunityfund.org/ideas/acf11223 to access the voting page for our project.  (or you can link to it through the home page at our website at www.bbfg.org  I'm asking to see if a) you like the project and b) might be willing to vote for it daily (or as often as you can).

You will need to register on the site-this is only so AVIVA can monitor any illegitimate voting-it is, afterall, for a considerable amount of money.

As a project of agritourism, edutourism, and importantly of food security for the region it will prove to be an important project for Bruce County.

Thank you  for considering it and spread the word to the rest of your family, and your friends/coworkers too. Please feel free to forward.  Every vote counts and you can vote EVERY DAY
