Manure production across Canada
Submitted by Ross Klopp on February 23, 2010 - 1:00amHere's a short but fascinating federal survey of manure use across Canada, with a chart showing which watersheds use how much manure (in tonnes per hectare).
Southern Ontario has six of the country's Top Ten manure-producing regions, including the top three, so we own the podium on that. The Penetangore, Saugeen and Maitland watersheds are all up there. The survey is from Stats Can, based on 2006 Census of Agriculture data, and published in December of 2008. Access is free, so it might be of interest to the whole Bruce Beach Cottagers' Association.

Regarding the Youth Softball for 5-12 year olds at the Cameron Grove ball diamond, we are still missing coaches for the weeks of August 3-7 and August 24-28. Come Join Us In Worship

The 'music' part of the service will no longer involve a community choir, and thus cancels the need for the community choir practice at 2 pm preceding the service.
Instead we will be accompanying the congregation on varied instruments , played by several of our 'talented' Bruce Beach musicians. … continue reading »
Bruce Beach Golf Course Renovation Report

Golf ClubsSECOND GOLF FUNDRAISER NETS $5720 FOR GOLF COURSE RESTORATION
The second golf outing fund raiser was a smashing success (the golf was rained out but the after golf drinking was not) netting the restoration project $5720 led by a $2000 contribution from the Pottier family (Cottage 152) , a $1000 gift from Bill and Jean Lichtenberg (Cottage 171-2) and a $500 check from the Sled family (Cottage 159). The Pottiers have raised their funds through the sale of tee shirts , polo shirts and Bruce Beach paraphernalia. There is plenty of merchandise in stock and the proceeds go to the restoration project so contact any member of the Pottier family for details. … continue reading »

This is the twentieth year the Sports Committee will be making softball available for our children at the ball diamond behind cottage 127. Our sincere thank you to those who volunteered their time last year to coach softball and thanks to those who will be supervising softball this year.
