PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
I am writing this message on Sunday, March 18, where the temperature is a warm, balmy, 24 degrees centigrade and have spent the afternoon walking my dog in shorts thinking of Bruce Beach. It won’t be long until we all can experience an early spring at the community our predecessors have built over many generations.
Unit 2 at Bruce A gets approval to restart and Unit 1 is expected to restart in the 3rd quarter of 2012.
"Once the work is complete, Bruce Power will be the world's largest nuclear facility, generating more than 6,200 megawatts or about 25 per cent of Ontario's power. It currently produces 4,700 megawatts."

Huron-Kinloss council
Ruth MacLean is upset that Huron-Kinloss Township is showing an interest in hosting a used nuclear fuel Deep Geologic Repository (DGR) in the township.
At the general committee meeting March 5, council considered MacLean's concerns, and a response drafted by clerk Sonya Watson.
