Clubhouse renovations are nearly complete
Submitted by Dave Wilson on July 10, 2010 - 12:58pmAll Bruce Beachers:
The Clubhouse renovations are about complete. It has been decided by the Committee on the project to NOT move the old furniture back in. Several items had mice in them and others were in a state of dis-repair. If someone has a specific item that you want, or feel that it should be kept, please let me know by email (djwilson@brucebeach.com) before Wednesday July 14.
Susan Johnston will be handling the purchase of a new range and refrigerator. The old ones will be properly disposed of. But, if someone really wants either the old range or refrigerator let me know. Believe me, they are not in very good condition. And you will have to pick them up yourselves.
Thank you for your patience
David Wilson

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. – The Obama administration has developed a five-year blueprint for rescuing the Great Lakes, a sprawling ecosystem plagued by toxic contamination, shrinking wildlife habitat and invasive species.
The plan envisions spending more than $2.2 billion for long-awaited repairs after a century of damage to the lakes, which hold 20 percent of the world's fresh water. The Associated Press obtained a copy of the document, which Lisa Jackson, head of the Environmental Protection Agency, was releasing at a news conference Sunday in Washington.

Submitted by Ross Klopp on November 12, 2009 - 10:34amFellow Bruce Beachers -
Somehow, some good should come from the hours I spend photographing what National Geographic called World's Best Sunsets, back in the 1980's. My deal is non profit. You choose either 4 (minimum) dry-mounted plaques 8 x 10" or 11 x 14", or 2 (minimum) matted and framed prints, 11 x 14".
Pricing will depend on print quality desired. Funds payable to Roger Crysler to cover the costs will be accompanied by a like cheque from you payable to Bruce Beach Golf Club improvement campaign, which I will forward.

Many thanks to the Bruce Beachers who attended the Lucknow Arena on Sunday 11 October to support us in our 12th Thanksgiving game vs Port Albert. Though down 5-2, we battled back to tie the game. We hold a slight edge in the series with 6 wins, 5 losses and 1 tie.
Attached you'll find a photo of our team. Unfortunately our goalie, Bill Droine, was a late scratch when he was taken to hospital due to a kidney stone. Best wishes Bill in your recovery.
Team members were: John Sedgewick, Brent Stief, Richard Keeso, Jim McDonald, Dave Ceolin, Sandy Henderson, Dave McPherson, Andrew McClear, Chad Winterberger, Dave Brisbin, Russ Sutton, Mike Buchanan, Tommie Hughes.
