This is the twenty first year morning baseball is available for all those Bruce Beach kids (12 & under) who enjoy baseball and want to make new friends or catch up with old friends. The baseball facilities at the North end have guaranteed a fun time for all.
The activity takes place from 9.30 am to 10.30 am Monday through Friday every week during July and August. The ball diamond is located next to the Cameron Grove tennis courts behind Cottage 125. To join in and play, come any day of the week before 9.30 am and bring a glove.… continue reading »

Paddy Walker House museum objects request

The Bruce Beach Association was approached by Rick Clarke, Administrator of Walker House, for assistance with a display on the first tourists/cottagers in the region. The executive was in favour of doing this and Keith MacDonald emailed me to see if I could spearhead our participation. I enthusiastically agreed.
After several emails back and forth, Gail and I met with Rick in Walker House this past Sunday. He explained his plans for a general beaches exhibit on the ground floor with maps showing the lake shore and our lots. He plans to provide a place for people to write any memories connected with coming to the area each summer. As well, he showed us as a separate room on the second floor for a Bruce Beach only exhibit.… continue reading »

This is the twentieth year the Sports Committee will be making softball available for our children at the ball diamond behind cottage 127. Our sincere thank you to those who volunteered their time last year to coach softball and thanks to those who will be supervising softball this year.
