PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
I am writing this message on Sunday, March 18, where the temperature is a warm, balmy, 24 degrees centigrade and have spent the afternoon walking my dog in shorts thinking of Bruce Beach. It won’t be long until we all can experience an early spring at the community our predecessors have built over many generations.
AUCHTERLONIE, George Jaffrey. Passed away on Thursday, November 24th. George had been in Beaumont Hospital for observation pertaining to pneumonia and complications from previous health problems.

We have had a wonderful summer of junior baseball and I would like to thank all the volunteers who have made this a great season.
We are still in need of volunteers for the last week of the summer - August 29 to September 2.
I know that the kids do not want the summer to end early - lets make sure the summer junior baseball season does not end early.
The activity takes place from 9.30 am to 10.30 am Monday through Friday. The ball diamond is located next to the Cameron Grove tennis courts behind Cottage 127. To join in and play, come any day of the week before 9.30 am and bring a glove.

Tomorrow marks the opening day of the 22nd season of Bruce Beach Youth Softball for 12 year olds and under. I want to thank all the volunteers who have volunteered to help with baseball for the coming season (copied on the attached Youth Softball Schedule).

When I first took on organizing Youth Baseball for Bruce Beach for the 12 years old and under I had two young children. Well, those two young children are now 23 and 19 years old and it is time I turn over the reins of Youth Baseball to a new coordinator. I will be assisting getting in getting Youth Baseball started this summer but this will be my last task with baseball. I would like to turn over Youth Baseball to a new coordinator(s) in the June time frame. If you are interested in coordinating Youth Baseball please send me an email at tiernanfam@aol.com and I will help you get started.
This is the twenty second year morning baseball is available for all those Bruce Beach kids (12 & under) who enjoy baseball and want to make new friends or catch up with old friends. The baseball facilities at the North end have guaranteed a fun time for all.
