Bruce County’s annual Household Hazardous Waste Days start in May with three days ideal for Huron-Kinloss residents to attend.
Get the hazardous waste materials out of your home in an environmentally safe manner at one of the upcoming dates:
Kincardine - May 28th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Kincardine Public Works Yard

Lucknow - June 11th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Bruce County Highways Garage
545 Ludgard Street
Kincardine - August 13th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

If you attend one of these events, you’re asked to follow all safety protocols. You should remain in your vehicle with windows closed and with waste materials in your open trunk for unloading.
Waste must be received in containers of 30 litres or less for disposal. Containers will not be emptied and returned.

Items that are accepted at these events are:
- aerosols
- antifreeze
- batteries
- fertilizers
- fire extinguishers
- fluorescent lights
- fuel
- household cleaners
- oil filters
- paints and stains
- pesticides
- pharmaceuticals
- pool chemicals
- propane tanks
- solvents
- used oil
- and more!
Not accepted:
- agricultural waste
- ammunitions and flares
- commercial waste
- industrial waste
- PCB’s
