Ruth passed away peacefully at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital in Burlington, Ont. Predeceased by her husband John and son Peter. Loving Mother to Jennifer (Al) and loving Grandmother to Emily (Paddy), Matthew (Rachel) and Clayton (son of Leah Wright).
Ruth was born in Woodbridge, Ont. and moved to Toronto when she was a teenager. She met her husband John (from Australia) while in Bermuda, as he was travelling the world, and they settled in Etobicoke, Ont. She spent her last year in Lakeshore Place Retirement Home in Burlington. She loved her church life at St. Luke’s United Church as well as her cottage life at Bruce Beach on Lake Huron. Ruth will be sadly missed and always remembered by her many friends and family.
Friends will be received at Glendale Funeral Home, 1810 Albion Rd., Etobicoke, Ontario (Hwy 27 & Albion Rd.) on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Arrangements have been made for a Memorial Service for Ruth Wright (Cottage 136). It will be held Sat. Jan. 10 at 2PM at Humber Valley United Church (76 Anglesey Blvd Etobicoke ON) with a Reception to follow.
