YOUNG, Marion Keith (nee West) - Peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at London Health Sciences Centre, Marion Keith Young passed away at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Dan Young (2014) and loving mother of John Young (Cathy). Survived by siblings David West (Sharon), Anne Pennock (Paul), and Paul West (Heather). Also survived by sisters-in-law Myrtle Young and Joyce Young (Bob). Predeceased by her cherished granddaughter, Hannah (2005); her parents, James and Marion West; brothers-in-law, Robert, Angus and Douglas Young, Del Weatherstone, and sister-in-law, Jean Weatherstone.
Keith was born in Hillsdale, Ontario. Her father was a Presbyterian minister and their family moved to several areas of Ontario during his ministry. Throughout her life, she enjoyed time spent at the West family cottage at Bruce Beach near Kincardine. A graduate of the University of Western Ontario, she was an elementary school teacher-librarian. Keith and Dan lived and farmed in Sarnia Township on the farm that has been in Dan's family since 1855. Keith and Dan enjoyed travel to many parts of Canada and the US, the Holy Land, Southeast Asia, China, Bermuda, Europe and the UK. She was a member of the Mandaumin United Church and the United Church Women.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
