It’s early November but snow squalls are expected off Lake Huron Thursday into Friday.
Environment Canada issued a snow squall watch Wednesday afternoon that includes northern and eastern Lambton County, as well as London and Middlesex County.
The weather agency said snow squalls are expected to develop off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay late Thursday morning and continue through Friday afternoon. Forecasters said the squalls will become more organized and intensify as the winds shift to the north Thursday afternoon. The heaviest bands of snow will likely persist through Thursday night with conditions slowly improving through the day Friday.
Strong winds may accompany the squalls resulting in blowing snow at times.
Environment Canada said total snowfall accumulations of 20 centimetres to 30 centimetres, up to a foot, are possible in some areas by Friday morning.
