YMCAs throughout Southwestern Ontario are getting ready to roll out their virtual Y Mind program aimed at helping teens and young adults manage stress and anxiety.

Roxanne Gilroy-Machado is the Manager of Language Skills Programs and Settlement and she says Y Mind introduces young people to evidence-based tools and connects them with peers and experienced professionals. But says they’re also looking for community partners to help them deliver the program.

“Any organization that has experience in delivering mental health services or programs. And we have specific funding for Indigenous organizations because we have a sister program called Mind Medicine that is specifically for Indigenous serving organizations,” Gilroy-Machado shared.

Anyone who is interested in becoming a partner in delivering the program is asked to email the Communications Department at communications@ymcaswo.ca
