IF YE BREAK FAITH: WWI's final local casualties (Nov. 7, 1918)

In the drumbeat down to Nov. 11 – the 100th anniversary of the First World War’s end – Free Press reporter Jennifer Bieman and its editors have crafted video tributes to Southwestern Ontario soldiers who died in war’s final days. Each will be published 100 years to the day after their deaths until Nov. 11 as part of our ongoing series, If Ye Break Faith.

Today we honour Pte. Christopher Lea of Brantford, who died on Nov. 7, 1918.

Watch for our live coverage from Belgium from Nov. 8-11 as Canadians and citizens worldwide mark the landmark anniversary. To read and watch our If Ye Break Faith coverage from Europe earlier this year, click here.
