Despite technical difficulties that pushed the voting deadline for the Municipality of Kincardine 2018 Election to Tuesday October 23, 2018 it was a day to celebrate for many as the results came in. Anne Eadie will be returning as the Mayor of Kincardine for another term which means another four years. Eadie pulled away the win with 3,435 votes against the 374 votes for Ron Stephens. “It’s an honour to be serving a 2nd term, it’s an exciting time in the Municipality of Kincardine and we need to get to work right away,” said re-elected Mayor of Kincardine Anne Eadie. Marie Wilson came out on top in the voting polls with 2910 votes and will sink into the position of Deputy Mayor along side of Eadie. “I’m looking forward to working with Marie Wilson, she brings a lot to the table with all of her experience,” Eadie said. “Election time always reminds us of how important it is to start visiting the smaller communities which makes up the big picture of our Municipality, and it’s really good to get refreshed on what each unique community needs,” Eadie commented. Joining the council team in December will be Doug Kennedy,Laura Haight and Dave Cuyler. Maureen Couture and Gerry Glover will be councilors of Ward 1.
