Peacefully at her cherished AMICA home, surrounded by the love of family in that cradle of compassionate care. Margaret, “The Bride “ of the late Bob Sedgewick(1984), daughter of the late Agnes (1978) and the late George Wilson (1959), twin of the late Dunc Wilson (1999) and beloved sister of Lily Fraser Anthony. She lived every minute of her 94 years with a smile, gratitude and unflagging optimism. Mother of the late Bev Sedgewick (1997), Barb (Bill)Strain, Bob (Lynn) Sedgewick, Jenny (Walter) Sedgewick, the late Patty (2015) (Sandy) Henderson and Johnny (Maureen) Sedgewick. Granny of 16 grandchildren who were her pride and joy; Shauna Sedgewick, Megan Boyle, Bev Strain, Annie Strain, Sarah-Jean Sedgewick, Bob Sedgewick, Mike Sedgewick, Catherine Sedgewick, Emma Henderson, Kate Henderson, Taylor Henderson, Graeme Henderson, Connor Sedgewick, Regan Sedgewick, Kaleigh Sedgewick and Joanie Sedgewick. Great-grandmother of 7; Ella and Lily Desbarats, Andrew and Matthew Boyle, Annabelle and Charlie Sedgewick, Ashton St. Clair.
Mom’s life was her family and the people she “made family”. She had a steadfast faith that carried her through the ” too early” death of the love of her life, Bob, and sustained her through the heart-breaking loss of two of her beautiful daughters. She will be missed greatly by her dear sister, Lil, and as much by her Fraser boys, Doug, Don and Jim.
Margaret spent 60 years at 13A on Bruce Beach where she instilled in her children and all who visited , the pleasure in the simplicity of the lessons and joys of that heavenly place.
Visitation to be held at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave. W. (2 lights west of Yonge Street) on Monday, February 20 from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, February 21 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Service at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 2737 Bayview Ave. (south of Hwy.410) at 11:00 am on Wed Feb 22. Reception to follow in the church. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
