Jean C. Lichtenberg (MacDonald), age 94, born in Kincardine, Ontario, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024, in Royal Oak, Michigan. It was at the dance pavilion in Kincardine, along the shores of Lake Huron, that she met her beloved husband, Bill, who passed away in 2015.
Anne passed away quietly at the age of 71 at Lennox and Addington County General Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents, H.R. (Bob) and Betty (née MacMillan) Ledingham; and by her sister, Susan and Susan's husband, Doug Earle. She leaves behind her sister, Jane; brother, Rob (Karen); her sons, Elliott (Jennifer), Graeme (Chelsey), and Duncan Richardson; her nieces, Emily (Allison) and Gwynne (Maneesh); and her grandchildren, Faye, Florence, and Hugh Richardson.
Dorcas Plant was a force. If you needed thoughtful advice, a capable volunteer, or a hot meal, she would be the first call. She opened her door to strangers and friends, inviting them to join her family around the table to break bread. It was a routine she came by honestly, learned from her own parents growing up in Belleville, Ontario.
Heather Jean Ingham (nee Liddell), age 86, died peacefully November 25th at Ian Anderson House hospice in Oakville after fighting hard for several years against multiple cancers. She was born January 6th, 1937 in Tianjin (Tientsin), China. Middle daughter of Olympic champion Eric Liddell of Scotland and Florence Liddell (nee MacKenzie) of Canada, both of China based missionary families.
After a courageous, 11-year fight with breast cancer, Carol passed away peacefully on Saturday September 23rd. She had been able to stay at her home until the last 10 days of her life. Carol was then admitted to Hospice Waterloo Region where she was cared for and made as comfortable as possible by the most amazing and compassionate team of nurses and volunteers.
Susan Mochi Hecklau (Cottage21) passed away at her home in Clinton NY surrounded by family on April 1, 2023 Sue (Suzy) was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in August of 2022. Sue was a 5th generation cottager at Bruce Beach. The daughter of Jane Yates Mochi and Don Mochi, Granddaughter of Durward and Madelene Yates and great Granddaughter of Charles W. and Agnes Yates.
Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, Anne Moffatt (nee McKillop) left this life on March 2, to join her husband, Don, whom she had dearly missed for the past 5 years. She was the beloved mother of her 3 daughters, Sue (Rob Brison), Barb (Doug Dunlop) and Nancy; grandmother of Meg (Scott Symes) and Mike; and great-grandmother of Jack and Evan (Symes). She was pre-deceased by her older brother, John McKillop.
Passed peacefully surrounded by love after overseeing one last impassioned round of her beloved Scrabble game played at her bedside by her 3 daughters.
Throughout her active life, Sally followed her heart of gold and brought her beautiful smile, tireless energy and infectious humour with her wherever she went.

Mom had been active and walking up till the day she died. My sisters and I feel exceptionally blessed to have had her as our mother. Three days earlier, Mom attended our early Finlayson Family Christmas. She was in fine form, the leader of three progressively younger generations and the centre of attention.
On December 17, 2022, William ‘Warren’ McBurney passed away at University Gates Retirement Residence in Waterloo in his 87th year. He was a loving father to his three daughters, Margaret Thomas (Phil), Alison Dunn (Glen), and Jennifer Skinner (Don), and a devoted grandfather to Lynn, Neil (Alyssa), Graham (Emma), Leah (Tyler), Luke, Indigo, and Jasper, as well as great-grandfather to Fox, AJ, and Wray. He is rejoined with June, his wife of 63 years who passed away in May of this year, his parents William and Ruth, his brother Jim, and sister Liz and survived by his sister Marge.
