It could be a very long, frustrating summer, if current police reports are any indication. There is a growing problem with rural properties being hit by thieves taking everything from vehicles of various types,

Terrorism has many faces in this world of ours – wild-eyed bombers, machete-wielding fiends, idealogues who think wearing scraps of military gear and carrying a gun adds relevance to their cause.

A recent decision by the Ontario Court of Appeal has disturbing implications for owners of such vehicles as ATVs. The case in question involved a young person who suffered a brain injury when the ATV she was operating hit a tree. The injured person’s boyfriend had turned over operation of the ATV to her, even though she was inexperienced. The boyfriend’s father owned the ATV. (By Pauline Kerr)

It is becoming increasingly difficult to figure out what is real and what is fake. Is it actually your beloved grandson on the phone telling you he needs your financial help to get out of jail somewhere that has different laws from Canada’s. Is that brand name handbag a bargain

There is an advertisement making the rounds, lauding this province for its thriving, forward-moving economy. It is a feel-good ad, clearly intended to make people think
about business opportunities our children and grandchildren will enjoy in Ontario. The ad
paints a picture of happy people making the most of all this province offers. (By Pauline Kerr)

March is Fraud Prevention month. This year’s theme is, appropriately enough, “20

Anyone planning to travel over spring break is being advised to make sure they and their children are properly immunized. We are not talking about visiting some exotic (exotic being a euphemism for remote and primitive) location; we are talking south Florida.
