Jean Auchterlonie passed away on Thursday, December 24th, 2015. Jean suffered a stroke and was, unfortunately, one of the 5% who have a reaction to the blood thinners with which they treat stroke victims. She ended up with cranial bleeding which, in the end, proved fatal. Arrangements, at this time, are incomplete. A further announcement will follow at a later date.
THRIPPLETON, Margaret (née Cameron) Peacefully on December 19, 2015 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Margaret had recently celebrated her 90th birthday with friends and family. She was predeceased by her husband, Brian. Born and raised in the Kincardine area, Margaret resided in Oakville for many years while spending her summers at the family cottage at 82 Cameron Lane. She was an elementary teacher and high school teacher in art history. After retiring from teaching Margaret worked as an instructor at H & R Block.
On the morning of Sunday December 20th, peacefully in the embrace of her loving family at home, our angel Patty moved on to heaven. She was the dear wife of W.A. ’Sandy’, and the dear mother of Emma, Kate, Graeme and Taylor. She leaves her mother, Margaret Sedgewick, siblings Barb Strain (Bill), Bob Sedgewick (Lynn), Jennifer Sedgewick (Walter), and John Sedgewick (Maureen). She was a sister-in-law to Rev. John Henderson (Dorothy), Dr. Margaret Henderson, and Dr. Clara Henderson. She also leaves her Aunt, Lil Anthony, several nieces, nephews, and cousins in the Sedgewick, Fraser, Wilson and Henderson clans. She was predeceased by her father, Robert M. Sedgewick QC, sister Bev Sedgewick, father-in-law Rev. W.A. Henderson, mother-in-law Margaret ‘Peggy’ Henderson, and several aunts and uncles.
Virginia Beach - Rex Martin Zimmerman died December 11, 2015 peacefully at his home at age 90 of natural causes. He was the beloved husband of the late Bette Arlene Zimmerman. Mr. Zimmerman was a longtime resident of Virginia Beach, VA. Born March 15, 1925 in Orrville, Ohio, he was the son of Harvey and Delpha Smyser Zimmerman and stepmother Evelyn Gilmore Zimmerman. Rex attended Orrville High School.
