It could be a very long, frustrating summer, if current police reports are any indication. There is a growing problem with rural properties being hit by thieves taking everything from vehicles of various types,
to firearms, to fuel. The recent hike in gas prices, combined with the traditional snowbird migration north,

Kincardine council has agreed to foot the bill for an error in issuing a building permit for a local downtown business owner, after hearing all sides at an April 24 tribunal hearing. Mike Ballantyne, owner of Queen Street Medical Clinic located at 777 Queen Street in Kincardine, said that in January of this year, he submitted an application to the building department, outlining plans to renovate a 400 square foot second floor space in the building into an apartment.
