Lucknow celebrating 161st fall fair Sept. 13 to 15

Lucknow’s Fall Fair kicks off Sept. 13 with fun for the whole family all weekend long.
Gates open at 5 p.m. followed by opening ceremonies at 7 p.m., including the ambassador competition, which takes place at 7:15 p.m., and the pie auction at 8:30 p.m.
The following morning gets started with a parade at 11 a.m. leading to the festivities at the fairgrounds.
Kids’ activities include bumper cars, inflatables, petting zoo, pumpkin decorating and carnival games.
Pony rides run from noon until 3 p.m. and Bumbling Bert the Magician performs at 12:30 p.m.
The Lucknow Fire Department will be on-site offering children the chance to check out their fire trucks and equipment.
The Teeswater Pipe Band and Kincardine Pipe Band are set to perform in the arena parking lot, while the Goderich Laketown Band will perform indoors on the arena stage.
Saturday features multiple beef shows, as well as a field crop competition.
Sunday, bring your pets to compete in the pet show beginning at 11:30 a.m. followed by the blessing of the pets with Rev. Royal at the gazebo at noon.
