Robert McAllister “Bob” Cunningham, 88, of Ft. Thomas, KY passed away on June 20 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati.

Bob spent his entire career in Sales Management at The Timken Company, retiring after 42 years. He was an avid bagpiper for over 40 years, playing in the Pipe & Drum Corps of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s office and in the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band in Ontario, Canada during the summer.

Bob also served as President of the Cottagers Association of his beloved Bruce Beach where he enjoyed spending time with family and many special friends.

Bob will be remembered for his tremendous love and devotion to family, kindness, generosity, and endless positivity and optimism, even in the face of illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Clara Mae Cunningham. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Ann (nee Webster) Cunningham; sons, Bill (Karen) & Tom (Margie) Cunningham; 4 grandchildren, Will, Cameron, Ella & Callum Cunningham; sister Janice (the late Hugh) Lawrence and brother, John Cunningham.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 26 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 3 Chalfonte Pl, Fort Thomas, KY 41075. In remembrance of Bob’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Shriners Burns Institute, 3229 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229.
