Born November 19, 1931, shaped by the Scottish-Canadian neighbourhood of Bowie Avenue in Toronto.

Passed away peacefully on September 8, 2022 at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine.

Survived by his son Watson (Nini), nieces Nancy (Wayne) Feasby, Diane, Kathleen (Don) Gillespie and nephew David Ault; Susan (John) Gauch.

Predeceased by his wife Ruth Joanne Morris (nee Langdon), sister Joan and brother-in-law Ted Ault, cousins Betty ( Bill) Shaw, Bill (Evelyn) Paul.

You could often find Bill cooking up a gourmet storm at home, enjoying engaging conversation with family and friends. Bill had a seriousness that was engaging yet entirely respectful of others. Often discussions with Bill would lead people to value more fully their own thoughts and ideas. A true scholar, he continued his passion for social-political theory, political strategy, religious studies and theology well into his retirement and final days. Gospel of Thomas 70, if you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth you, what you do not bring forth will kill you; Ecclesiastes 10:1-20; Matthew 10:16-20

Cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Pine River United Church on Saturday September 17, 2022 at 12:00 p.m.,
