Twenty-two-year-old Brooke Thomas is still glowing from her and her teammates’ successful showing at the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games held in Calgary last month. On her own, she skated her way to the top of the podium in the free skate competition,
with Team Ontario finishing fifth overall in level one dance. (By Liz Small)
