The Municipality of Kincardine needs your help. A Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan survey is still accepting responses from the public until Dec. 11. The survey was first put out in November and has received about 400 responses. Coun. Doug Kennedy would like to see that number get to at least 1,000. Along with the public’s feedback, he plans on approaching the heads of local minor sports – from soccer to baseball, hockey and gymnastics –to get their input, as well. “That will give us a better idea,” said Kennedy. The survey, which takes about 15 minutes to complete, encompasses everything from minor sports, facilities, parks, waterfront, community groups and more. Selections includes areas that need improvement and how that is funded, along with opportunity to provide your own thoughts on facilities, programs and more. (By Liz Small)
