A handful of tickets are still available for this year’s Dancing with the Stars at the Kincardine Pavilion on Nov. 2.
Just like the popular TV show, the event pairs seasoned dancers with inexperienced local celebrities who compete during a black-tie fundraising gala in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Bruce North Huron.
Each of the pairs trains together before performing two ballroom dancing routines at the final event. Spectators can join both in-person and online via livestream.
This year’s competition features dancing pairs Tamis Rackley and Victor Scaletchi, Carolyn Hart and Bryan Shelley, Carmen Coburn and Andy Laya, Don Andrew and Jeanette, Bradon Prasad and Rachel Mackay, and Leyla Gonzalez and Blayne Hussey.
Judging the dancers are John Peevers, director of communications for Bruce Power; Carole Weber, Huron County Dancing with the Stars event planner; and Courtney Dunlop, instructor at Danceology.
Doors open at 5 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres served at 5:30 p.m. followed by a full dinner. The competition begins at 7 p.m.
Limited in-person tickets are still available at a cost of $125 each and virtual tickets for $40. All proceeds from ticket sales go directly to fund Big Brothers Big Sisters’ individual, group and school-based programs.
