A kitten was brought to baseball this morning, found by a family, perhaps an orphan from the storm, I didn't get the whole story from the mass of kids adoring her. Long story short, I took the kitten home,I couldn't leave it there, and agreed to look after it and try to find it a home. Could you please send a mass email asking if anyone wants a kitten or know anyone missing a kitten? We are here until Friday at noon. If no one claims her or is interested we will take her home to Toronto Humane Society. I presume she is a barn kitty, she is gorgeous, sweet and calm, not at all feral or even nervous, and follows the kids everywhere. We are totally smitten with this kitten but are not keeping her (I repeat), not keeping her.
Another in the growing list of mini libraries at Bruce Beach. This on is at the bridge approaching the Huff-Clark ball diamond.
Feel free to donate a book or pick up a book.
Children's books are most in demand.
This year we are celebrating 20 years of our tennis lessons on Bruce Beach. We would like to invite all our past and current “ students” to join us on Saturday at the annual barbeque, for a group picture. If you could be available around 5:30 PM, we can get a picture before the food hits the table.
Looking forward to seeing all of you on Saturday!

In spite of a short rain delay, the spirit and enthusiasm of the 16 teams in the competition was not dampened. The skilled play of our teams brought many oohs and ahhs from the crowd of beachers who came down to be part of the fun and action. The tournament closed with an exciting final that had people on the edge of their lawn chairs and benches.

This picture was taken last Monday morning by Heather Currie of 124, picture of the kids playing baseball at the cottage this morning. We agreed that the rays of sunshine are Bruce Beach cottagers who've passed, smiling down at the ongoing traditions.
