In spite of a short rain delay, the spirit and enthusiasm of the 16 teams in the competition was not dampened. The skilled play of our teams brought many oohs and ahhs from the crowd of beachers who came down to be part of the fun and action. The tournament closed with an exciting final that had people on the edge of their lawn chairs and benches.

3rd Place...... Diane Gregoris/ Cam Spooner
2nd Place..... Donna Tiernan/ Steve Merker
1st Place (with bragging rights until next summer)... BETSY JOHNSTON / BRENT STIEF
The big winner is our Bruce Beach Tennis Club which through your generosity received $ 1,320.00 which will go towards new benches (already in place) and other future upgrades.
We would like to thank all the players for their generosity and support of our inaugural Bruce Beach Mixed Doubles Tennis Tournament, now known as the 5th Major. Thanks again to all of you for making it a huge success.
We are already looking forward to next year’s tournament. Stay tuned for future announcements.
