Ainsdale Golf Course has been sold to Kincardine native and former U.S. collegiate golfer Taylor Candler (Schmidt) and her husband Charles, a golf pro who is originally from Sanford, Florida. The Candlers, who currently reside in Wichita, Kansas, with their 4 ½ month old son Wyatt, will take over the 18-hole golf course on Jan.
Thanks to the many replies and several sign-ons to the draft letter circulated last week offering advice to the Canadian federal minister of the environment on the conduct of the review of the "additional information" Ontario Power Generation was to have provided by the end of 2016 about their proposal to bury nuclear waste beside Lake Huron.

January 3, 2017 - On December 28, 2016, the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency received the additional information from Ontario Power Generation (OPG) in response to an information request made by the Minister of Environment and Climate Change on February 18, 2016 regarding the Deep Geologic Repository for Low and Intermediate Level Radioactive Waste Project. The additional information is publically available on the Canadian Environmental Assessment Registry Site (the registry) at the following location: http://www.ceaa-acee.gc.ca/050/document-eng.cfm?document=116741.
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec 27th in her 83rd year. Janet was born in Rugby, England and moved to Canada in her twenties where she met her beloved husband Tom of 55 years. Janet was deeply dedicated to her family. She will be loving remembered by Tom, her three daughters Sharon, Linda, Carol Ann, two grandchildren Nyah and Quinn, her brother Hugh (Stephanie), sisters Avril and Norreys (John) and her sister-in-laws Anne and Nancy (Keith) and 11 nieces and nephews.
DR. CLARA ELLEN HENDERSON, died in her 62nd year on October 2, 2016 in Bloomington, Indiana surrounded by loving friends and family. The cause of death was a rapidly progressive malignancy. Clara was her usual high-spirited, hilarious, active self until her final few weeks.
Clara was the youngest of four siblings born to the Rev. William A. (Bill) and Margaret (Peggy) Henderson on September 27, 1955 in Walkerton, Ontario (Canada). She is survived by siblings John (Dorothy), Margaret and Sandy (Patty); three nieces Sonya (Andrew), Emma (Scott) and Kate; four nephews Joel (Joanna), Daniel (Heather), Taylor and Graeme; one grandniece, Kaya, and one grandnephew, Noah. She is predeceased by her parents and sister-in-law Patty.

The EAB has killed millions of trees in southwestern Ontario since 2002. This highly destructive insect poses a significant economic and environmental threat to all forests and urban areas. The EBA attacks all species of ash (except the Mountain Ash-not a true ash).
