Bruce Beach Shore Break
Bruce Beachers,
We are still looking for more volunteers for Junior Baseball. Summer is HERE and there are many weeks that still require a volunteer to help out.
The weeks we require volunteers are:
July 13 to 17
July 20 to 24
August 17 to 21
August 24 to 28
August 31 to Sept 3 (extra week this year)
As you can see we have quite a few weeks yet to cover. I have been contacted by folks who were not sure when they would be at the Beach for their holidays but if you can commit to helping out for a week that would be great.
This is a Kincardine event, but it might interest Bruce Beach children who enjoy creativity. I have worked with Athina (Artemis Art Studio on Harbour Street) and Andrea at their PD art days with children - and they are very worthwhile.

Bruce Beachers
The Bruce Beach Golf Club is well underway for 2015. A group of 12
volunteers under the direction of Brian MacEachern and David Wilson have
built a new shed near the 3rd tee to house the course maintenance equipment
and this replaces the old green shed which had a dirt floor and was barely
standing. We would like to thank all the volunteers for their time and
effort in constructing this fine addition to the Golf Club.
Created, constructed and stocked by Bob Cunningham (109) and Barry McPherson(122), the FIRST Bruce Beach Library opens this weekend. Another “first” for the North! Will “Lower” or “Middle” Bruce Beach follow suit?
Modelled on the Little Free Library program found in many neighbourhoods in Canada and the United States (see, www.littlefreelibrary.org), this Library is located beside the tennis courts at Cameron Grove so that it is accessible to our Junior Baseball players and their fans.

The European Renewable Energy Foundation, a Green body supportive of all forms of renewable energy, has carried out research at Edinburgh University involving a look at years of wind farm performance data from the UK and Denmark. Their conclusion is this:
“Put bluntly, wind turbines onshore and offshore still cost too much and wear out far too quickly to offer the developing world a realistic alternative to coal.” And these guys are Green renewable energy proponents!...
We are still looking for more volunteers for Junior Baseball. Summer is fast approaching and there are many weeks that still require a volunteer to help out. Please contact me at the phone numbers or emails listed below.
First day is on Monday June 29th and we still need somebody for the first week.
