Kristine Felton Blik passed away unexpectedly on February 7, 2014 at the age of 47 after suffering a  cardiac arrest. She was born April 9, 1966, in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, grew up in Bellevue and lived in Newcastle, WA. 

She is survived by her husband Doug Blik, son Drew, sister Kimberley Brooks (Craig), brother Kirk Felton (Prem) and parents Terry and Peggy Felton. Kris graduated from Newport H. S. in 1984, then from the UW with a B.S. in Nursing in 1990. She worked as a nurse in cardiology and rheumatology, then returned to the UW to earn a Master of Nursing continuing her work as a skilled and compassionate nurse practitioner. 

In 2011 she earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from UW.  In 2012 she joined Novartis Pharmaceuticals as a nurse educator. In 1999 she married Doug Blik and 2 years later son Drew was born.  She was a devoted wife and mother and was exceptionally proud of her son. 

She enjoyed biking, running, and all outdoor activities.  She had many friends with whom she stayed in touch and were always welcome in her and Doug’s home.  She spent time every summer at the family cottage on Bruce Beach, Ontario, Canada where she connected with her love of nature and her many close friends there. 

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 1st at Bellevue Presbyterian Church, 1717 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue 98004. 

To honor her life, donations can be made to Seattle Childrens Hospital or the American Heart Association.
