Photo of Margaret S. Ferguson smilingMargaret was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on February 17, 1924. After serving in the Royal Canadian Navy in World War II, she married Keith A. Ferguson June 8, 1946. They moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1948, raising four children there.

Margaret was affectionately “Mum” to her children and all of their friends, and “Granny” to 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. “Granny’s home” was always a place of laughter, toys & butter tarts…..

Margaret was a member of Calvin Presbyterian Church, honoring her Savior Jesus Christ by serving faithfully, cheerfully and sacrificially for over 60 years. She was an eager student of the Bible, desiring to read, learn & apply the Word of God daily. And as her children, grandchildren and fellow church members can testify, Margaret was a prayer warrior, meeting with the Lord daily on behalf of others.

Margaret was a volunteer, serving the American Red Cross for over 4 decades along with many other charities.

Margaret defeated cancer and major heart illness late in life, recovering from each to return to her life of service & ministry for others.

On April 24, 2014, with her service complete and surrounded by family, Margaret was taken to her eternal home by her Savior, Jesus Christ. We miss Mum, but echo the words of God,

“Well done my faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Master”

Margaret is survived by her children & grandchildren, and little Evan, her great grandson:
