During the First World War, from 1914 to 1918, Canada sent 650,000 of its finest soldiers to fight for God and country; 61,000 never returned home. When the war ended on Nov. 11, 1918, the bells rang out throughout all of Canada heralding the restoration of peace and freedom in the world.
