Bruce Beach Shore Break
The Junior Golf Tournament will be this Saturday August 6 at 9:30 am at the clubhouse. It is a chip, putt, drive competition and the children are divided into groups by skill level. The cost is $5.00 per child which includes a hotdog lunch and loot bags.
Wasn't that a Party!!
I hope everyone enjoyed the BBQ on Saturday. A special thanks to all the McCosh Grove neighbours who live within shouting distance of the Club House. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
I think it is high time to recognize Karen Gaudino, Brian Cass, and Creemore Breweries. For years they have supplied (free of charge) the wonderful beer for not only our BBQ but also the Billy Open. If you'd like to show your appreciation maybe the next time you go to buy beer you could purchase something from Creemore Breweries.

Huff/Clark Ball Park behind cottage 51
The weekend is nigh upon us and one of the big events of the summer is about to be played. What am I talking about? Well the North South championship ball game of course. Come one come all. Baseball players and of course the fans. It is guaranteed to be one to remember. The warm up game starts at 9:00AM then the big event gets underway at 9:30. After the game and the tears and cheers there will be pictures taken and trophies to be awarded. Don't you just love it.
Fellow Beachers, thanks to Donna Tiernan and Heather McGregor Brown and their ticket sales ability we have another sold out BBQ. There will be 511 people at this year's version of our annual affair.
We've come a long way from the days of dragging BBQs to the club house and the Dads flipping burgers and hot dogs while the families sat on blankets and socialized with neighbours.
See everyone on Saturday,
Brian MacEachern
Robert Jamieson ( Cottage 74) Jamieson, Robert (Bob) Winston - Peacefully with family at London Health Science Centre - University Hospital on Saturday, July 23, 2016, Bob Jamieson in his 76th year. Deeply missed by his loving wife of 46 years Sandy, cherished father of Martha (Dave) Lang and Lisa. Proud 'Pops' of Peter and Natalie. Loving brother of Maurice (Eleanor) and Mary (John) Thornton. Predeceased by his brother Keith. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. We will all miss his kindness, his compassion and his outrageous sense of humour.
For those who were at the season opener last weekend you witnessed Bruce Beach baseball at its best. Imagine if you will Mike Buchanan on the mound pitching for the game. Bottom of the 9th (or whatever inning Gerry says it is). The score is 14 to 11. The bases are getting fuller but somehow the game is lost as the opposition just can’t sustain any traction. We all retire for a well-deserved beer or two. Just another day in paradise known as Bruce Beach.
The Coastal Centre Welcomes New Executive Director
The Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation Board of Directors are pleased to announce that Matthew Hoy joined the Coastal Centre team on July 4, 2016 as the new Executive Director.

Matthew (Matt) Hoy, Executive Director

He firmly believes the strength of communities along Ontario’s southeast shoreline lies in the health of our Great Lake.
Saturday July 16th is fast approaching!
The Tournament draw is filling in faster than Dave Tiernan’s beard!
We still need a few players to round out our 18 team draw.
If you are interested in getting some exercise, socializing with fellow Beachers, and maybe being immortalized with your name on the prize trophy, please call or email me at your earliest convenience. 519-395-0415 or brian.hughes3@sympatico.ca
