With deep sorrow we notify those who knew and loved her of the passing of Marilyn Dunlop on March 24, 2017 at 88 years of age. Her kindness, wise guidance and gracious spirit will be greatly missed by her daughter Stephanie Clark and her husband Doug, her son Doug and his wife Barb Moffatt, as well as all in her extended family and her many friends. Marilyn was born on May 5 1928 in Detroit, MI to Florence and James Bell, but she grew up in London, ON.
Canadian Resident Bruce Beach Cottagers are eligible to vote in the township election even if you have voted in your home riding. Cottagers should check the voters list in Huron Kinloss to make sure your name is on the list. The local election is not until October 2018 but this summer would be a good time to check that your name is included on the voters list.
You will recall that last fall Jody Larson sent us emails regarding Hydro One's power outages as they transferred service from the old poles to the new poles that they were installing. As a result of the installation of the new pole on our property, numerous broken plastic shards were left. My vehicle picked up a nail resulting in my having to replace the tire. I just want to make sure that everyone knows about this extremely important upcoming event.
On the evening of Friday March 10 at the Legion Hall in Kincardine CTV is doing a W5 event hosted by Lloyd Robertson on the DGR.
It is of great importance that we get a crowd out to this as OPG will have organized a high profile group to speak and we need to be there to ask questions at the mic and demonstrate numbers.
Peacefully at home, surrounded by family, in her 90th year, on Sunday, February 19, 2017. Patricia (Henderson), loving wife of the late Robert Malcolm McFarlane MD (2006). Daughter of the late Myra and the late William Henderson. She leaves her three adoring daughters, Janie (Cope Smith), Wendy, and Laurie (Brian Hughes), her very special grandchildren, Kristin (John Zazzarino), Rob, Charles, and Tommy, and cherished great- grandchildren, James and Olivia. Fondly remembered by her sister Barbara (Keith MacDonald), and many nieces and nephews.

Peacefully at her cherished AMICA home, surrounded by the love of family in that cradle of compassionate care. Welcome, and thank you for taking the opportunity to read our monthly newsletter. This month’s message comes with mixed emotions. For those of you unaware, Geoff Peach, a founder of the Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation passed away recently. Geoff was a strong proponent of coastal environmental preservation and promotion. His ground-breaking work has left a huge footprint on the landscape of Lake Huron. Mary died at Briton House on Thursday, January 19, 2017. Born in Wingham in 1913, she graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1936, when she and her brother George took over the family store after the sudden death of their father. She was married to Borden Spears from 1944 until his death in 1983. They had four children: George (Kasia Seydegart), Laura Mullin (Allan), John (Elisabeth Marsden) and Tom (Deborah).
