Huron United FC (HUFC) soccer team collected their first win of the season on June 18 with a 4-2 victory over rivals Riverside FC B. Striker Gerrit Satosek nearly gave HUFC an early lead after forcing a turnover in the second minute but it went wide of the goal. Moments later, attacking midfielder Ryan Schriek was rewarded when he placed a perfect free kick inside the left post.

The Municipality of Kincardine announced the launch of the Beach Blazers Volunteer Program, which was developed from recommendations made in the Pier Safety Ad-hoc Committee (PSAC) report received by Council in March 2024. Like the Trail Blazers program which launched in 2023, Beach Blazers will walk the Station Beach waterfront during peak beach times, acting as ambassadors and an extra set of eyes for the Municipality.
